This is my online web page that I am using to show some of my current art work. Most of what I park these cars on are sociopolitical issues that focus on American culture. However, the imagery can be read on a cross cultural level engaging most people from every age bracket to level of conceptual absorption.

Currently, I am a poorfessional artist who has been struggling with getting decent art venues. I am working out of a garage because I can’t afford a studio, and most of my things are in a climate controlled storage unit that keeps increasing their rates. My cost of toy cars has increased as with every other material making my sales price more out of reach for the casual buyer.

I am sort of testing this site out to see what kind of responses I can get online and maybe use it as an online portfolio. Unfortunately, the images that are posted are a complete different experience than seeing the paintings in person.

Thank you for taking time to view this blog. Leave a comment if you would like… regarding the work, your thoughts, things that you’re bothered by or not.

Thank you again for visiting,

Here’s another stop motion animation.

I’ve lived in other places besides Wichita, Kansas. Maybe someone from the West coast will get this, or maybe an occasional visitor of KNX1070.

This is the painting I submitted to the Shepard Fairy/Democratic National Convention show for a juried exhibition. I was denied. My art work was not illustrative enough.

I am interested in semiotics. Maybe more semantics than pragmatics, but semiotics is definately the vehicle. I think the scarab symbol makes for a nice recycling symbol, or a blue collar laborer.

All American

This is one of my paintings using toy cars to create a secondary image. The painting is six feet tall (72″ x 54″) and it weighs about sixty pounds. Depending on the size of your monitor, you are viewing an image that would be normally seen from about twenty to thirty feet. In the gallery [...]

Extra Virgin Hot Wheels

This is a one of my stop motion animations I created using a Sony Hi-8 Handycam (1990/94),  a frame grabber computer program, and Windows Movie Maker.  This film took about a week to film.  I lost about four pounds from walking in and out of the picture frame to place a [...]

Current Artist Statement

My art work is a vehicle for exploring perception using stylized abstractions and base materialism to communicate with a global audience.
